Events
Conferences
From 2025 to 2029, one main task of the Centre is to organise two three-day conferences on Chinese theology, respectively, in 2026 and 2028, in partnership with institutions in North America, Asia, and Europe. The conferences are expected to enhance both the connection between scholars and the academic links between institutions.
Symposia
The Centre will convene symposia to promote cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary dialogue on Chinese theology by bringing together scholars from Greater China, Asia, the wider Chinese diaspora, and the West. These small and focused gatherings aim to foster deep engagement on a specific topic, and enable participants to thoroughly examine new research and emerging trends in the field of Chinese theology.
Lectures
The Centre will host three academic lectures on Chinese theology each academic year. The purpose of these lectures is to facilitate interaction and exchange between Western and Chinese theological academia.
Workshops
In order to extend the research impact of the Centre, the Centre will organise a workshop each year, in partnership with church communities and organisations. Theologians, church ministers, and trained laypersons will be convened to foster cross-cultural dialogue, address contextual and pressing issues affecting Chinese and World Christianities, and achieve knowledge exchange and practical collaboration.
